Cervical cancer cells warning
WOMEN who have pre-cancerous cells removed to prevent cervical cancer remain at high risk of developing the disease in the following 20 years, a study showed today.
Screening has led to a significant drop in incidence and deaths from cervical cancer.
But a study, in the British Medical Journal, now suggests women who have been treated for the pre-cancerous cells are still at a higher risk from the disease.
