Cautious approval for Turkey EU bid
A COMMITTEE of MPs has backed Turkey to join the European Union but warned human rights issues and the conflict over Cyprus must be resolved first.
The foreign affairs select committee was struck “by the country’s economic dynamism”, but found elements of the judicial system troubling.
