Cash support for retreat centre
FUNDRAISERS have collected thousands of pounds for equipment at a residential centre.
Pilton Retreat at Baird Road, Ratho, has received a 3000 boost to replace outdoor play equipment thanks to Hilton hotels in the Capital and Hilton in the Community Foundation.
The centre is a residential and day visit resource, committed to improving the quality of life of children, young people and adults from Edinburgh and the Pilton area who experience disabling conditions. It supports a number of local groups by providing opportunities for short residential breaks. More than 1200 children a year use the resource.
Maureen Scott, director of the Pilton Retreat Board, said: "I am delighted to accept the donation from the Hilton Foundation."
