Cannabis can 'double risk of death crash'

DRIVING after taking even small amounts of cannabis almost doubles the risk of a fatal road accident, new research suggests.

The French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research found evidence of cannabis use among seven per cent of drivers who were involved in death crashes.

The study, published by the British Medical Journal, was based on 10,748 drivers involved in accidents.
