BBC adapts explicit novel
A TV adaptation of DH Lawrence's classic novel of sexual awakening, Women In Love, will spearhead a new BBC drama season – 40 years after a naked wrestling scene featuring Oliver Reed shocked cinema-goers.
In 1969, Ken Russell's Oscar-winning adaptation left some viewers upset.
