Ban on bribes to foreign officials
OFFERING bribes to foreign public officials will be made illegal under reforms to UK law published yesterday.
Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, said changes in the draft Bribery Bill would help "reinforce transparency and accountability" in international business deals. Last year the government was criticised by a global watchdog for failing to meet international obligations.
