BA will resist legal action
BRITISH Airways has vowed to challenge legal action by unions resisting new pay and conditions for 14,000 cabin crew.
Unite will apply for a High Court injunction "against the imposition of new contracts" for cabin crew, which it says are due to begin on 16 November.
But a BA spokesman, who revealed the company had received an injunction application from Unite, said: "We will resist the injunction application.
"We have announced changes to onboard cabin crew numbers to enable us to accept more than 1,000 requests for voluntary redundancy and over 3,000 requests for part-time working."
BA faces possible Christmas strikes following a lengthy and unresolved dispute over its cost-cutting proposals.
