Appeal to ex-lovers of rapist
FORMER lovers of Britain’s most wanted man, dubbed the ‘Trophy Rapist’ hold the key to his capture , detectives said last night.
After DNA tests proved he has struck for a 10th time - raping a 14-year-old girl in Hertfordshire - officers hunting the beast are appealing for women who may have dated him to come forward.
Kent Police Assistant Chief Constable David Kelly, who is leading the nationwide hunt, said women scared of naming the rapist would be treated in "complete confidence".
He added: "If this man has been in a relationship it is more than likely he showed some levels of abuse .
"Anyone who was in a relationship with this man may recognise some characteristics in the way he attacks his victims."
He has been dubbed the Trophy Rapist because he has taken items of clothing from nearly all of his victims.
