Anti-war campaigner marks six years
ANTI-WAR campaigner Brian Haw has marked six years of peace protest opposite Parliament.
The 57-year-old has been camped in Parliament Square, London, since June 2001 and uses a megaphone to attack policy on Iraq.
In 2005, new legislation set up a 1km "exclusion zone" around Parliament, which many thought was designed to silence Haw, 57.
He was charged with breaching rules imposed on him under the Act, including a ban on large placards, but in January district judge Quentin Purdy ruled that Haw had no case to answer.
