Another parliament building overspend

THE design and construction of the new House of Commons visitors' entrance was subject to "exceptional delay and significant cost overruns", the Commons management body said yesterday. The Cromwell Green entrance opened in April – more than 18 months late and nearly £4 million over budget.

Work to replace the St Stephen's entrance had been originally expected to cost 8.6 million.
