Ann Summers boss wins nanny injunction

ANN Summers chief Jacqueline Gold has obtained a High Court privacy injunction against a former nanny jailed for trying to poison her.

Mr Justice Tugendhat made the order against Allison Cox and another former employee, Leanne Bingham, who is writing a book about her time working for the company and the events surrounding the case. Ms Bingham says that Ms Cox, who was sentenced to 12 months in jail last March 2011 and released on licence in June, provided no material for the book.

While Ms Cox agreed to the injunction being made on Wednesday, Ms Bingham, who is abroad, did not consent, informing the court she felt she was entitled to express her views and observations over the events of the past two years. The judge granted an injunction until the case returns to court on 22 February.
