Air passenger hit by bottle
AN EASYJET plane made a priority landing at Edinburgh Airport after a passenger was hit on the head by a champagne bottle, sparking a medical emergency.
The victim, from Edinburgh, was in his seat when a passenger opened an overhead locker and the bottle fell on his head.
An EasyJet spokesman said the passenger declined medical help but the crew assessed the situation and decided the plane should make a priority landing.
The 4pm flight on Thursday from Stansted with 138 passengers and six crew landed 14 minutes ahead of schedule.
The passenger hit by the bottle was taken to hospital by ambulance but later released.
