7 July suspect due in court on al-Qaeda manual charge
A 34-YEAR-OLD man arrested by anti-terrorism officers investigating the 7 July bombings in London was last night charged with possessing an al-Qaeda training manual.
Khalid Khaliq, of Leeds, is due to appear from custody at City of Westminster Magistrates in central London today.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard last night confirmed Khaliq had been charged with possessing "a document or record, namely the al-Qaeda training manual, containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism".
Three other people arrested on 9 May have been released.
