7/7 bombing charity closes
THE July 7 charity fund was shut down today after handing out £12 million to bomb victims.
Public donations to the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund came flooding in immediately after the July 2005 terror attacks.
Gerald Oppenheim, chair of the charity's board of trustees, said: "The funds we received have been distributed and the task we were set up for is completed so it is time for the fund to close."
