U2 singer says sorry for radio swearing
BONO apologised yesterday after jokingly calling Coldplay's Chris Martin a w****r live on BBC Radio 1. The U2 frontman was giving an interview when he blurted out the un-bleeped comment while mentioning the singer.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "An on-air apology was made immediately."
