Tynecastle hosts an evening in aid of unique toddler Ellie
A FUNDRAISING evening has been organised for a toddler who has a condition so rare it does not even have a name.
Ellie Innes, three, from Wester Hailes, has microcephaly, which causes paralysis on one side of her body (hemiplegia). She also has a genetic problem medics have never seen before and so cannot treat. Since December she has attended a Cumbernauld facility for children with motor impairments.
As the city council won't fund the specialist school, her parents are raising funds at events such as an evening tonight at 7pm in Tynecastle's Gorgie Suite, featuring horse racing, an auction and raffle. Tickets 5 on the door.
