Two men have been arrested after police seized drugs worth around £600,000.

Officers searching a garage in the Springburn area of Glasgow recovered around 496kg of cannabis resin on Friday morning.

The men, aged 41 and 28, were charged with alleged drugs offences.

Police said the drugs have an estimated potential street value of £618,000.

Detective Chief Inspector Kenny Gray: “This was a significant seizure of controlled drugs that was destined for our streets and shows the commitment of Police Scotland to actively pursuing those suspected of supplying controlled drugs.”
