TWO men have appeared in court in connection with the death of a 25-year-old man.
Darren Rogerson, 22, and George Rogerson, 21, are charged with murder after the man’s body was found in Bruce Street in Plean village near Stirling.
The alleged incident took place in the early hours of Saturday while reports of a disturbance were made, according to police.
Central Scotland Police Detective Inspector Dougie Telfer said: “Police received a number of telephone calls from members of the public in the early hours of the morning, alerting us to a disturbance in the village.
“Officers responded quickly and found the body of the man.
“I am appealing for any member of the public who witnessed any incident in Plean, particularly in the Bruce Street area from mid-evening onwards last night, to contact us as soon as possible.
The two men appearing at Stirling Sheriff Court, who are both from the Stirling area, made no plea or declaration and both were remanded in custody.
Another man, aged 23, was also reported in relation to the case.
A spokesman for the Crown Office said: “The procurator fiscal at Stirling received a report concerning a 23-year-old male in connection with an alleged incident in Plean, Stirling on 22 December 2012. Following full and careful consideration of all of the facts and circumstances of the case he was liberated pending further investigation and did not appear in court in relation to this matter.
