Two cyclists die in hit–and–run

Two cyclists have been killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Police said a car struck and killed the cyclists – a man and a woman – before the driver fled the scene in Bristol.

“Police were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision at about 3:50pm,” said a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police. “A man and a woman died as a result of injuries sustained. Investigators are at the scene and officers are working to locate the driver.”
