Police have released CCTV pictures of two men they are hunting over the theft of three valuable antique coins from the National Museum of Scotland.
The coins were stolen on September 2 from the Chambers Street venue.
Detective Constable Mark Seymour said the men in the CCTV may be able to “assist” the inquiry.
“The stolen coins are of great financial and historical value, and any information which will assist the police inquiry would be greatly appreciated.
“I would encourage the males in the images to come forward to police.
“Similarly if anyone knows the males, or has any information to assist with the police investigation, I would urge them to contact police immediately.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
