TV 'whipped up' eggs row

POLICE are blaming breakfast TV for a spate of egg attacks in West Lothian.

Officers struggled to deal with dozens of calls about homes and cars being pelted with eggs over Hallowe'en.

At one point, local police were dealing with one egg-related call every two or three minutes. They say an item on GMTV that morning may have helped spread the craze among youngsters.
