TV's Lorraine urges women to race for life
TELEVISION star Lorraine Kelly has urged women to take part in this year's Race for Life event in Edinburgh.
The 5km run round Holyrood Park raises money for cancer research and since it was launched 15 years ago cancer death rates have dropped by 15 per cent.
The ITV presenter is a regular participant in the events across the country, and said: "I'm not a brilliant runner but you don't have to be.
"Anyone can jog, run or just walk around the 5k course.
"It's wonderful just being part of thousands of other women, all raising money for the fight against cancer.
"Cancer touches many of us and supporting research into new ways of tackling the disease is incredibly important."
The Race for Life is organised by Cancer Research UK.
