Treasure or trash - Porcelain plaques
THIS is an attractive pair of porcelain plaques that date from the late 19th century. They depict a lady and gentleman in 18th-century dress facing each other across a bridge. Without removing them from their frame, it is difficult to identify exactly where they were manufactured. The most likely location, however, is Berlin, which produced many plaques of this type.
