Severe rush-hour delays on M8 after five car collision

SCOTLAND’S busiest motorway was the subject of severe disruption this morning following a five car collision near Harthill.

Traffic travelling in both directions was affected by the crash which occurred on the westbound carriageway at 7am this morning.

Police said there were no serious injuries.

The incident caused long delays on the M8 and local roads surrounding the crash scene.
