A SCOTTISH tea company has just shipped its first batch of products to China and is on course to treble its annual sales through other export deals. The Brewhaha teas will go on display at a major trade show in Beijing which the company hopes will lead to orders from department stores and supermarkets.

China will suit Kinloch Anderson
A SCOTTISH fashion company that supplies kilts and other Highland apparel to the Royal Family is preparing to open its first shop in China. Edinburgh-based Kinloch Anderson already sells its clothing in Japan, Korea and North America.
Troubled construction sector faces new blow
THE troubled Scottish construction sector has suffered a double blow as two more firms are involved in insolvency proceedings. Building and civil engineering firm Ritchie Brothers (Scotland) is in liquidation while the partnership of James Scott Builders & Company has been declared bankrupt.

Letts pencils a date in his diary as he makes plans for Blur flotation
A TECHNOLOGY entrepreneur who cut his teeth at his family’s printing business in Scotland is seeking to float his own firm as it expands operations on a global scale.Philip Letts, whose family owned the eponymous diary publisher in Dalkeith for two centuries, has hired Singer Capital Markets to advise on the flotation on the Alternative Investment Market of his Blur Group.

FirstGroup hits back at Branson’s claims over west coast rail route
TRANSPORT Secretary Justine Greening is expected to sign a deal in the early hours of tomorrow morning to hand FirstGroup control of the west coast rail franchise, brushing aside complaints from incumbent operator Sir Richard Branson.
