Pensioner in hospital after car accident in heavy rain

A PENSIONER is in hospital today after he was involved in a collision in heavy rain.

The man, 80, was travelling travelling on the A6112 between Preston and Duns at around 2.15pm yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to Borders General Hospital with internal injuries following the crash.

Only one vehicle was involved, and no-one else was injured.

South-west Scotland experienced unusually heavy rainfall yesterday.
