A man and a young teenager have died in a two-car crash.

Police were called to the collision on the A91 west of Auchtermuchty, Fife, at about 3.25pm yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the incident but a 56-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy died as a result of their injuries.

The A91 was closed for approximately four hours to allow investigation and recovery work to be carried out.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101.
