Overhaul of Flying Scotsman goes off the rails

RESTORATION of the Flying Scotsman, the iconic Edinburgh-London steam locomotive, will not now be completed until at least next year because the scale of the task was underestimated, the National Railway Museum in York said yesterday.

The news came as an investigation into the project found its cost had rocketed from £750,000 to £2.7 million.
