Northern Isles ferry crews to strike

Ferry workers in the Northern Isles will be on strike several days during the festive period in a dispute over jobs and conditions.

Members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers who work on the Orkney-Scrabster and the Shetland-Aberdeen ferries will walk out on 14, 21 and 28 December.

Crews on the Aberdeen-Orkney-Shetland route will strike on 16, 23 and 30 December.
