Man killed in car crash
A MAN was killed yesterday and two women were seriously injured in a collision between a car and a tractor in Moray.
The man, who has not been named, was driving a black Subaru Tribeca when it collided with a tractor on the A95 Keith to Banff road at the Nethermills junction near Keith.
A female passenger was flown by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and another woman was taken by ambulance to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin. The crash led to the busy route being closed for most of the day while a collision investigation was carried out. Diversions were set up with northbound traffic being re-routed on to the B9018 towards Cullen while southbound traffic was diverted via the B9117 to the B9022 and on to the A96.
In June last year 18-year-old Michael Fraser was killed in a crash at the Nethermills junction just days after celebrating his birthday.
