Man dies in hospital after car smash
A 52-year-old man has died after a road collision which also left a 20-year-old man in a critical condition, police said.
The two-vehicle crash happened on the B743 Ayr to Annbank Road at St Quivox at about 5:15pm on Saturday.
Strathclyde Police said the drivers of both vehicles were taken to Ayr Hospital, where the older man died shortly after arrival.
