A MALE driver has been taken to hospital following a two-car collision in the south of the city.

The incident involving a silver Alfa Romeo and black Ford Ka occurred just after 10.30am at the junction of Braid Road and Braidhill Road.

Paramedics raced to the scene where they treated one male casualty who they later transferred to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
