THREE adults and an eight-year-old boy are being treated in hospital after two cars were in a head-on crash.
• The crash happened around 7.30pm last night
• One woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries
• Fife police are investigating the collision and are appealling for any information from the public.
A black Fiat Punto and blue Vauxhall Astra crashed on the B925 between Kirkcaldy and Auchtertool in Fife at around 7.30pm yesterday.
The 31-year-old woman driver of the Punto suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, while a 52-year-old man driving the Astra sustained minor injuries.
Another woman, 31, and an eight-year-old boy who were passengers in the Punto were also hurt, Fife Police said.
The three adults are being treated at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy and the boy is at the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh. Police said his injuries are not serious.
Chief Inspector Adrian Annandale said: “We are investigating this collision and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen it or anyone who may have seen either car in the Kirkcaldy or Auchtertool areas to contact the police on 08456 005 702.”
