Exova Group, the listed Edinburgh-based provider of lab testing services, has bought an Indian metallurgy business in its sixth acquisition of the last 12 months.
The firm said it had acquired Metallurgical Services, a provider of metallurgical, mechanical, corrosion and other testing services based in Mumbai.
It will become part of Exova’s “rest of world” region and its oil & gas and industrials business cluster. Exova did not say how much it paid for the business.
Ian El-Mokadem, chief executive Officer of Exova, said: “This is our sixth acquisition within the past year and underlines our strategy of growing our global footprint and extending our service offering through strategic acquisitions in the customer sectors we serve from our facilities in 23 countries worldwide.”
