easyJet, Europe’s leading and Scotland’s largest airline, has today (29 June) expanded its Scottish network by launching a new route from Marseille to Glasgow.

The new summer service, which left Glasgow this morning, is expected to carry 10,000 annually and is Glasgow’s first direct connection to Marseille. Flights operate twice weekly on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s with fares starting from £33.49 one way per person.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s Head of Scotland, said:

“As Scotland’s largest airline we are pleased to further strengthen our network with the launch of this new route to Marseille today.

“The second largest city in France has plenty to offer travellers from historic sites such as the Abby of St.Victor as well as the daily fish market at Vieux Port Old Harbour.

“We believe that this will prove a popular addition to our existing network.”
