POLICE Scotland have named the man who died after his scooter crashed into a parked car in Dundee on Friday.

Scott Cunningham, 31, of Balmerino Road, Dundee, was driving a Peugeot scooter on Old Craigie Road when he was fatally injured in the collision on Friday night.

He was taken to the city’s Ninewells Hospital where he died shortly afterwards.

A spokesman for the Tayside Division of Police Scotland said: “Mr Cunningham’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that he will be greatly missed. They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”

He added: “Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and as with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
