Diversion set for M8

A SLIP road on the M8 motorway is set to close tonight while works are carried out.

Junction 3 westbound at Livingston will shut between 10pm and 6am tomorrow. Signs will be in place leading motorists on a diversion route.

The overnight works are the first stage of an upgrade project for the slip road to give it a smoother, safer surface.

Ian Stewart, of roads repair firm BEAR Scotland, said: “These works are being carried out overnight to minimise delays to motorists.”
