Cyclist killed after being hit by lorry in Tayside

A CYCLIST has died after he was hit by a lorry on a busy road, police said.

The incident happened on the westbound carriageway of the A90 near to Grange between Perth and Dundee in Tayside yesterday.

The 42-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Ninewells hospital, in Dundee, but his injuries proved to be fatal and he died a short time later, said police.

Officers are carrying out inquiries and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man, on a blue bicycle, travelling towards Perth.

A report will be submitted to the procurator-fiscal.
