Crane falls off bridge on A985 in Fife

A TEN-wheel crane was left teetering over railway tracks after the steering wheel broke on a road in Fife.

The incident happened at 7:10am yesterday on the A985 near Cairneyhill.

The vehicle came to rest over the railway line used by Longannet power station.

Authorities were forced to close the road while the vehicle was recovered.

Nobody was injured in the accident, and the road was ­reopened at 8pm.
