RESURFACING works on a busy stretch of road in West Lothian have been completed three weeks earlier than planned.
The critical improvements to the A71 from West Calder to Polbeth Road were finished last Friday, with the major route having reopened to traffic. West Lothian Council has thanked drivers for their patience while the upgrade was being carried out.
The stretch is part of the direct route linking Edinburgh to Kilmarnock on Scotland’s west coast.
The work on the road began on July 1.
