Tragic end for keep-fit fanatic
A FATHER training for a 75-mile bike race exercised himself to death in the fortnight before his big ride, an inquest heard.
Paul Mosdell, 32, from Maidstone, was a fitness enthusiast who would cycle up to 20 miles at a time, play football and go to the gym three times a week. However, he died in bed next to his fiance, Sarah Young, after suffering a fit in the hours after working out.
Mr Mosdell, who suffered from a enlarged heart, and Ms Young have a 19-month-old son, Ethan.
Berkshire Coroner Peter Bedford recorded a verdict of natural causes after hearing there were heart problems in the family.
