Traffic warden books van on trunk road

A VAN driver gets a parking ticket on South East Circus Place while unloading an unusual load of brightly coloured creatures designed by artists and celebrities.

More than 150 elephants, crocodiles, tigers and other exotic animals will turn the Capital into a Jungle City during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

David Frame, who witnessed the scene, said: "I asked the warden if he was booking the van or the elephant, and he told me very earnestly that it was the van."
