Tough Mudder has launched a new Scottish event which will take place next year in Dumfries and Galloway.

Tough Mudder Half will take place at Drumlanrig Castle on the 26th June.

It will feature a five-mile course with over a dozen obstacles designed to test the physical and mental strength of participants.

Obstacles including Walk the Plank, a terrifying leap from a 12-foot platform into muddy water; Kiss of Mud, a crawl underneath barbed wire and Everest, a true test of teamwork where you have to run up a giant quarter pipe with other Mudders helping you along the way.

Participants who complete the race receive a Tough Mudder Half headband, a custom Merrell Tough Mudder Half finisher t-shirt and a Kingstone Press cider to kick-off celebrations.

Tough Mudder Half tickets will be on sale from Thursday starting at £35 and can be found here.
