Tories to gain access to Baby P report
GORDON Brown yesterday confirmed the opposition would be allowed access to a report on the death of Baby P amid growing calls for it to be published.
Ed Balls, the Children's Secretary, had refused to release the serious case review based on legal advice and a ruling by the Information Commissioner.
But the Prime Minister said Mr Balls's Tory shadow would be allowed to see the report into the child's death.
Baby P died in a blood- spattered cot in August last year despite 60 visits from the authorities over eight months.
