Titan to vanish from skyline
ONE of the Clyde's most and striking landmarks - the Titan crane at Govan - will soon disappear from Glasgow's skyline.
The crane, which dates back to 1911, is being dismantled piece by piece. Owners BAE Systems sanctioned the work after securing special planning permission to demolish the A-listed structure.
