Tickets aren't Tattoo much

A LIMITED number of cut-price tickets are available for a preview performance of the Edinburgh Tattoo.

This year's 90-minute bonanza boasts bike-riding musicians, Scottish Highland dancing, a field gun display, as well as 250 of the world's finest pipers and drummers and the first Brazilian band to grace the Castle Esplanade.

Half-price tickets are up for grabs for the performance on August 4, and will go on sale at the Tattoo ticket office on Market Street at 10am on Monday.

David Allfrey, Tattoo chief executive and producer brigadier, said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to see the entire 2011 show at a great rate."

Tickets cost from 11.50 to 27.50. Normal admission charges for all the other 2011 Tattoo performances, from August 5-27, are 23 to 55.
