Three months to go – but Boyle CD is No 1
SUSAN Boyle had cause for celebration last night after it was announced she was top of the charts a full three months before the release of her debut album.
The demand for the album, I Dreamed A Dream, is so great that it is already listed at No1 on Amazon.com's charts as a result of pre-sales.
The CD does not officially go on sale until 23 November and is expected to be a best-seller in the run-up to Christmas.
However, tens of thousands of copies have already been ordered, meaning the Britain's Got Talent star is ahead of giants such as Whitney Houston and the Beatles in pre-sales.
One fan was quoted as saying: "The moment has finally come. Susan's CD is going to be brilliant and I can't wait."
It is believed some fans have even complained they were not allowed to order a dozen copies, as it is thought Amazon may be limiting the number each customer buys in the United States.
The Scottish singer's management also gave out the first pictures from her album shoot last night, showing her in the mountains of the Ardkinglas Estate in Cairndow, Argyll.
Since her debut on Britain's Got Talent, Boyle has become an international, star attracting more than 100 million hits on YouTube and the attention of celebrity fans such as Demi Moore and Robin Williams, who has developed an accurate impersonation of the singer.
