Thin blue line gets a little thinner

SCOTLAND'S largest police force has shrunk by almost 200 officers in less than a year, it emerged yesterday.

According to official figures from the Scottish Parliament Information Centre, the number of full-time equivalent officers in Strathclyde Police has dropped from 7,803 in June 2007 to 7,619 in March 2008, a loss of 184 officers.
