Theatre company scoops four awards
SCOTLAND'S only repertory theatre company yesterday scooped four awards for their production of Peer Gynt at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland.
The Dundee Rep won prizes for their version of the Ibsen play, including best male performance for actors Keith Fleming and Gerry Mulgrew. The company's Dominic Hill won best director and the rep clinched best production.
Historical drama Carthage Must be Destroyed, by Alan Wilkins of the Traverse Theatre, won best new play.
The awards were launched in 2003 to promote Scottish theatre by a judging panel of around a dozen leading critics.
