The Royal wedding: Carriages at 12:15 - set to go like clockwork
ST JAMES'S Palace has released a minute-by-minute timetable of the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Detailed timings for the 29 April ceremonies reveal that William and best man Prince Harry will arrive at Westminster Abbey well ahead of the bride.
The brothers are to leave Clarence House at 10:10am in a state limousine, arriving five minutes later, and can expect to have almost 40 minutes to mingle with guests before the service begins.
The precise timings show that the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall will leave their London home, Clarence House, at 10:38am, arriving four minutes later, while the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh are driven from Buckingham Palace at 10:40am, completing their journey in five minutes.
Miss Middleton and her father, Michael, are expected to be driven to the abbey just before 11am, but she may choose to be a few minutes late to keep the prince on his toes.
At 12:15pm the carriage procession of the bride and bridegroom, with a Captain's Escort of the Household Cavalry, followed by the Queen's procession with a Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry, will leave the abbey for Buckingham Palace.
Crowds outside the Palace will get their first glimpse of the newlyweds at 1:25pm when the couple will join their immediate families on the balcony.
Five minutes later, the couple, other members of the Royal Family and the Middletons will see a flypast of three aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight - a Lancaster, a Spitfire and a Hurricane.
Two Typhoons and two Tornado GR4s will fly past 30 seconds later in a box formation.
A spokesman said the wedding ceremony will be played live via speakers to the crowds gathered in London for the event.
The tens of thousands who are expected to line the procession route will be able to hear the couple exchange vows.
A spokesman for EC Harris, an international built-asset consultancy which is working on the project on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sports, said: "The PA system will be installed along the entire ceremonial route, from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.
"There will be an array of speakers placed equidistant along the route to enable a clear live relay of the entire service and to be utilised to issue public information messages as required."
Miss Middleton will spend her last night as a single woman at an exclusive London hotel surrounded by her family and friends.
The Goring Hotel - a favourite with the wealthy and famous for decades - has been booked up by the Middleton family for months. The hotel in Belgravia is also a short walk from Buckingham Palace, where the wedding reception and evening dinner celebrating the marriage will be held.
Its chief executive, Jeremy Goring, is the fourth generation of his family to run the hotel, which was established by his great-grandfather, Otto Richard Goring, in 1910.
He said: "We are delighted that we are able to play a small part in what's going to be a wonderful day of celebration around Britain."
Prince Harry joined Miss Middleton and her bridal party for a wedding rehearsal at Westminster Abbey yesterday, accompanied by bridesmaids and pageboys.
